A batt would have been better but unless you can sell it and buy one you may as well use it. If you start playing the rap with tones/Spl the cap becomes parasitic according to what I have read.  I have an old 3 farad that I have in my trunk Its not hooked up right now but I was playing with it and it kept a half a volt steadier with it on and that makes it a little easier on the cars electronics.</p></blockquote><p></p>
