I had to go to harborfreight this morning for a new mag base for work and I happen to see they had DMMs on sale for 2.99.

I figured I would post this up in case anyone needed one or wanted to pick up a backup.

It's ghetto as hell and very inaccurate. I had one for a while and it is pretty much useless for precise readings. I used it only for testing for shorts, open circuits, and to find hot connections. I NEVER took the numbers it gave me seriously. You should do the same.

Wow I didnt know is was that bad .

I really just got it to test ohms on speakers.

Hopefully it works ok for that.

Yeah, cheapie DMMs are good for seeing if a wire is hot, and if there's a short. that's about it.

I bought a cheap clamp meter for Harborfreight.... its shit..

Spend 10 dolllars and get a craftsman.
