DLS up6 or ur6

okay Im hoing to go with the ur6 but how ome thay arent adverised as handling as many watts. I did notice the difference was a 3 in vc versus 2 in vc

go to imagshack.us. click browse, find your picture. click host it. go to your gallery and copy/paste the one that says forums. lemme know if u need help.

yea well i had a BMW at the time i bought them...so now i just have to custom them..im going to put the 6.5 in the door, midbass in the kickpanel, and the tweets in the a pillar where the stock tweet is. i hope that sounds good for imaging

I really like the idea of 3 ways just not enough time or experience to do that much custom work. Definately not enough money for a shop to do it either. I think im going to have my local shop install these so they can hear what they sound like since im pretty sure they have never heard them before. Definately post pics of yours when you get all your custom work done.

Okay I ordered the ur6s comps. I had a local shop install them since I have to work 6 days a week and have my son. The install sounds good. I have had very limited listening time though. Has anyone ever heard of a crossover emitting noise? There is a slight noise at idle and when letting on and off the gas up to about 2000 rpm. It reminds me of a engine noise but once the engine is reving it doesnt get any higher. The noise sounds like its from the tweeter so the shop said its from the crossover. They said the mb quart q series omtimes emitts noise and that they have dampeners to stop it. They said to come back tommorw or Friday and they would install an isolator. Im just going to do all the work myself from now on. Im putting pics up of my stereo in the general section so go check out my thread there Thanks again

Thats what I said and they said no way because it doesnt go up with the rpms. It also doesnt seem to be coming from the mid just the tweeter

yes they do but at first I was looking at the ur6 then I decided to go for the ur6s. Pics are going up now if I can figure it out.

so i ended up selling my dls up36's the other day. i heard them compared to the dynaudios and i just had to get something with more midbass. the dls's are great with acoustics and vocal type stuff. but for some of the stuff i listen to. i need alot more midbass than the UP's gave me. so just another opinion on my end.

That is the up6 youre talking about. I have the ur6s wich is teo steps up from the up6. I agree not a whole lot of midbass but it is a very clean sounding and these have not been broke in yet either
