Dls Wh0re
Hey again, I know this is a bit tedious, but I have another amp comparo to get everyones opinion on for my SQ application. Here is my system, in a 2004 Civic Si Hatch: HU
remier DEH-860MP Front stage: Polk DB 6500 components (100w/rms) Rear fill: Pioneer DS-T681 6x8 (off deck power) Sub: Infinity Basslink. Amp: Old as hell PPI 75wx2. The amps I am looking at are the Zapco 350.2, the MB Quart RAA2400, and I had another reader suggest the DLS Ultimate A3. I have basically eliminated the JL 300/2 from contention. I am looking for a 2 channel to run my mids and highs, and will evetually buy another amp for the Kicker Solobaric 8" subs I was given (the old school round subs) I like the Zapco a bunch, and it seems to be rated the cleanest for what that's worth. I just don't know much about DLS as I have been away from high-end car audio for some time. The other consideration is the MB Quart amp, that is on sale for CHEAP and may be able to do everything I need at half the cost of the DLS or Zapco- but again you get what you pay for usually, but then I don't compete, and have NEVER killed an amp or sent one into thermal protect. Any other suggestions are welcome. My budget for this amp is around $400-$500, though less cost is preferred, I don't want to sacrifice much quality at the alter of cost. This is all tempered, of course, by the fact that about ANY modern amp would kick the living crap out of my current amp. Thanks!
