sick of it its a never ending fight to keep the rust off the **** thing and the exhaust is being a *****. now i got an offer from a pal to buy a 98 volvo s70 white with black leather interior and a 120 amp alt or i can keep my beater for a little longer and save up for an astro van. what do you guys think

I wouldn't be caught dead driving an Astro van. But it depends on what you want to do with the vehicle. I would pick the Volvo especially for gas savings unless you want tons of room for a huge system.

astro van has bad gas mileage but lots of space and easy to mod

volvo has good gas milage alot less space but can easily be modded to have a double din HU and is already set up for 6-8 speakers stock.

its a tough choice

My buddy had a Volvo (i think S70) and it got pretty loud, they are good cars. Can't go wrong with Scandinavian.

Where I'm form the only people that drive Astro vans are... let's just call them Raiders fans.

x2..If you want the astro van just to get loud I think that's pretty retarded. If anything, i'd get the Volvo as a dd and buy a astro later as a fun, loud project.

I vote Volvo. Which trim level?

Here is a list of TSB's for just the motor's in the S70...

I personally like the one about the "Inadvertand air bag deployment" recall....

Bad grounds that set off the air bag whenever.......usually at the worst possible time....

Back in Tampa, there was a Volvo dealer across the street from my dealer. I seen a few different Volvo's come in for this and actually

seen one go off while a tech was working on the nav system.

its a gle i believe. the astro van would also be about functionality. it would be nice to have the space to transport large things without borrowing or renting a truck or van. but i do love volvos ever since my late 80's volvo destroyed some assholes scion when he gave me a breakjob while flipping me off and my car literally only needed a little light buffing i have just felt very safe in them.
