Distro block and wiring questions ...

Will this distro block be ok if I want to add another amp to power my door speakers? Im running 4 gauge wire from the battery to a "300W x 1" sub amp.

So Ill run the 4 gauge wire into the distro block, 8 gauge wire to each amp right. What gauge wire should I use for ground from each amp, 4 or 8 gauge?

As far as the amp remote wire goes ... since the current amp's remote wire is already connected to the HU, can I connect the new amp's remote to the existing amp's remote lead or should I run another remote wire to the HU for the new amp?

Will I need anything else to add a second amp?

Let me know if I left out any info that might help. Thanks in advanced.

Your ground cable should always be equal to or larger than your power cable. Ergo - if the power cable coming out of the backside of the distro feeding the amp is going to be 8awg then the ground should be at least 8awg. Larger isn't necessary but it can't hurt either. You decide which course is best for your particular install.

Running a remote activation jumper from the first amp to the second is a very commonplace practice and should pose no problems. Should you ever add a third amp (or other item that requires remote activation from the HU) then a relay should be incorporated to handle those duties but for just two amps your above-stated plan should work just fine. There's no need to run another lead all the way back to your deck.

Another set of RCA cables to carry the signal from the HU to the second amp might be a good idea in case you've not thought of it...

Thats the Distro I am using right now. Run a 4g to the sub amp and a 8g to the 2nd amp...

If he uses the distro he linked to there's no 4awg output so that option pretty much isn't there.

Additionally 8awg should be plenty sufficient for a 300w amp regardless of whether it is on substage duty or not.
