i wired up my 2nd battery yesterday. i used 4 gauge for it. i ran the wires right along the power wire for my amp.

before i installed it everything sounded good, i just wanted to have some extra battery power so i didnt have to worry about draining my battery under the hood.

after i installed the new bat. i turned my stereo up, and i get some distortion in my front speakers.... what could cause that?

the second battery is hooked up like this:

+ from my main battery to + of the 2nd batt. with 4 guage.

- from second battery to ground in the trunk.

nothing is hooked up to it....

im not sure what could have caused this.... i ran the power wire right next to my other power wire for my amp. any help appreciated, thanks alot.

my amps a Rockford T5001bd wired from my main battery.

i dont think its anything with my gains from my HU or amp, becuase this is the exact same settings as it was before i put in the 2nd batt.
