direction of subs

im putting two 12" l5s in my dodge dakota extened cab, which direction should i face the subs im building a custom box for it and this is an important factor to the build of the box. i want the subs to hit to their full extent and my vision to go blury on every hit. (a little exageration) but u get the point. i know from experience with cars they would hit the best facing the rear but this is a truck and i know theres different factors. before i got these 12's, i had a l5 15" and it hit the best facing up but if possible i want to aviod this being my new box build is also going to be a seat for the cab. please help me out here

thank you and "late late do wut u gotto do just dont do it around me late"

ride on - lateeeeeeeeeeee

I have an Extended Cab GMC and this Topic has been debated on Many a post...My Strong opinion is that they should either downfire or upfire but NEVER straight fire...For some odd reason the acoustics really fail when Subs straight fire inside pickup trucks...My main evidence to Downfire is also supported by the fact that most respectable custom Box Manufacturers like JL Audio, MTX, Q-Logic....all Downfire thier boxes for thier truck sub enclosures!!!!

But straight fire looks cooler...LOL
