Directed 1100d

I have a Directed 1100d pushing an Audiobahn AWIS12P wired to 1 ohm. The amp is 1 ohm stable., but I keep burning up my 100 amp in line fuse when I turn up the volume. If I wire it to 2 ohms,a nd crank it up, no problem. So my question is do I need a bigger fuse say 120 amp or what?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I think you need a larger fuse probally a 120a ANL...also be sure to double check all grounds...If your running a unibody car you may have a weak ground...If a unibody...pull a 4ga. from your main battery back to the amp...also do the big 3 if needed....

Thanks guys. Also I forgot to mention I'm running 8ga power and ground, and a Tsunami Cap. I think I need to step it up to 4ga. The wire was in there already for a smaller amp, so I just used what was there.

Definitely bigger wire... I have 4 gauge and I'm running my 1100D at 2 ohm, if I were running it at 1, it'd be 1/0 or 2 gauge. 4 gauge will be fine though. Get new wire, and your 100a fuses will be fine.
