Boss and Pyle are grossly overrated. If you want two subs, buy two EQUAL subs. you need an equal load on the amp if you want two subs to not cancel. with two different subs you have two different loads which react differently with the amplifier. next, verify sub impedance and amplifier minimum impedance. Sub placement strongly dictates performance. trunks cause destructive interference - which is cancellation of bass frequencies. sell whichever you don't want to keep and buy another like the one you do keep. what is the impedance load on the amp? what model # subs and amp? music is dynamic - you'll NEVER see 1400W from that boss amp. You'll be lucky to see 400W RMS out of it, which the JL sub can handle with dynamic music. what size power wire did you use? how/where did you ground the amp? did you use good quality ring terminals and bolts to secure wiring? Clipping blows subs. Google "amplifier clipping" and make sure you understand proper gain setting. Gain setting can be learned here: http://forum.sounddomain.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=65167&page=1#Post65167 pics of your install will help us trouble shoot for you. my build log is linked in my sig if you want ideas on good connections and wiring methods.
