what differences will you be able to hear/feel from a ported box, same size, same subs tuned to lets say 50Hz as aposed to one tuned to 30Hz...

50 would be punchier and would be louder to most mics where the 30 hz would be a rumble effect

matters what your box would be tuned at. if you have a sealed box hitting 30hz then a ported box tuned to 30 hz, the tuned box's peak would be 30hz in which case should be the loudest the sub would get. should be loud AND low compared to the sealed box where it would just be nice and shake with a decent ammount of sound.

that's why its call SUB sonic, BELOW audioble, but most are adjustable to suit peoples needs for boxes etc...............
