difference in 800rms

dang i guess that would help huh? well im debating on the Audioque 2200d or the audiopipe ap3000d.
Can your driver(s) take that?

In terms of DBs, the rule of thumb goes that doubling your power will get you 3db, so, I'm assuming if you turn that into percentages.

800/2200 = x/100

You'd gain 36% more power, which, 36% of 3 db is a gain of 1db + change. (My math got like 1.090909, repeating.)

10*log(3000/2200) = 1.35db

That's assuming their power output is exactly as rated.

That also doesn't take into account the driver's power compression at those power levels.

Assuming they are realistically rated and actual power output doesn't vary too greatly from their rated power in either direction, after power compression, you will be under 1db of difference.
