Just curious about the difference between two oscilloscopes i've come across on the web. Both are made by velleman. The first is the one most frequently mentioned on these forums, which is for sale on parts express. I think the model number is "HPS5" http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshowdetl.cfm?&DID=7&Partnumber=320-290 Price is $185. The second one i've stumbled across is the HPS10, and more specifically, the HPS10SE. It appears to be a newer, better looking and better performing unit, AND the price is only $149.99! http://www.allspectrum.com/store/product_info.php?products_id=29 I was just curious if anyone knows why the HPS10 is less expensive? Is the parts express page just old and the price hasn't been updated? Or are these two models completely unrelated? Just curious if anyone knows which one is a newer, or better unit. I haven't been able to find anyone with an o-scope to borrow, and i'm pretty sure the shop just did a guess-job with my gains And if i can get a BETTER unit and save some $$ at the same time, i don't see why not. Anyone have experience with either unit? Is there something better than either of these units for the money, even? Thanks a lot!
