Today I was installing my AVIC-U310BT and after I wired everything up I went to plug in the GMOS and I heard a pop through the speakers, the door chimes worked like they should, but nothing will play through the speakers as far as HU sound. Anyone have any ideas? I don't think I wired anything wrong because wouldn't all but one speaker work then? Someone please enlighten me.

the thing powers up and everything. This morning I went out and used my dmm to check if there was any power coming out the speaker wire on the HU side of the adapter and there wasn't. So does this mean TyroneShoes sent me a broken unit?

would not surprise me. I had changed my batteries and both times I blew up my gmos. I finally said f uck it and wired it directly. No chimes but thats fine with me.

I've ruled out the GMOS. the unit isn't putting any power through the speaker wires.

as you know, one mis-wire and the thing can be damaged. could have been your wiring or the previous owner. tough to tell with used gear.

could be a vehicle issue as well. i'd try the stock head unit real quick to verify everything is indeed ok on the vehicle side. you have to be careful with the Data Bus wire, the wrong connection, load, even a trouble light (instead of a DMM) can damage the circuitry.
