Diamond d661s vs...?

Okay, so I was looking at these diamonds on http://www.hifisoundconnection.com/Shop/Control/Product/fp/vpid/1529067/vpcsid/0/SFV/30046

Is there anything comparable to them in their price range(+-$50) that would sound cleaner and louder? I'm looking for about 60/40 SQ/SPL now. I did have Rainbow Dream Line 5 1/8" components but I think I'd like to upgrade. These Rainbows have no midbass and do not get as loud as I'd like them to.

Will be powering them on a Nine.2

The JL Xr's do pretty get, I liked the set I heard. The Type X - I dont know. That's my dilemma. I am going to consider Type R's. Type R's will supposively get louder than the X's and still sound good *shrugs*

And they can be had for 130 shipped brand new from ebay, it's worth a shot I suppose.

Yea, I was listening to a set of the JL XRs recently and I liked them alot. Probably going to get them soon, just need to figure out where I'm going to mount the tweets cuz I was going to go with some braxials before.
