Diamond Audio...new system q's?

I am planing on getting some subs in my car and i just dont know what to get. I dont want some competition subs but i do want some good quality and good sounding subs for daily use. There are too many sub companies, and i dont know what to get. I do plan on getting 3 12's tho. I know the owner at my local car audio shop and i can get some good hookups on anything in his shop. He carries hella brands but he mainly sells Diamond Audio subs which he feels are some of the best sounding subs. I havent heard too much on them, Anyone actually heard these subs , anyone know if they are any good? I mostly listen to rap so i want some subs that hit hard and go as low as possible, and that can be heard from at great distance. I am sick of all these kids that get crap subs from like circuit city or something and think their shit sounds hella good. I want some subs that will shut these kids up and show them how it is really done. Well i just wanna know some opinions on what subs are good to get and if Diamonds are any good. Anyone know how much Diamond Audio subs cost retail?

Which Diamond sub model were you looking at getting? They are a high quality sub. But remember that even the best subs wont sound good if the install is not all that great.

retail on diamond subs are something like ~$180 for CM3 12's, ~$400 for M6 12's, and about ~$700 for TDX 12's.

i can personally get CM3 12's for a little less than $100 each at my local shop, and three of those, running on a nice 1000watt amp, should thump like a mofo.

i can get M6's for $250 or so, and i bought my TDX for a bit over $400, so the prices from retail are negotiable.

I own a 12 Cm3, got it for 115 at my local shop. I'm happy with it, sound a whole lot better than anything i have heard in that price range including the type-r's, atleast to me. I have never heard the M6, but the TDX is amazing as far as im concerned. I prefer it over the W7, didn't really like the W7's sound, can't really describe it. You never really gave us your budget, so if there really isn't one get the TDX's, you will not be disapointed. But if you're on a budget i'm sure the Cm3s will beat out all the bb and cc crap in your area, and the m6's probably will even more. Cm3's might be better because it would require less power, m6's want 300 wants more than the m3s do, powering 3 tdx's would require lots of money, but you also probably wouldn't need more than one to beat out any stupid Dual sub or wahtever crap they sell at best buy. So for cm3's, you really just need an amp that will do 1500 watts at 2 ohms for DVC 4, or at 1 ohm if you get DVC2 ohm.
