Well, to those who say medication doesn't help, I 100% disagree. I am diagnosed as having depression and a slight case of OCD, nothing serious, and I am not at all compulsive, but when I get worried about stuff, be it school or other things I tend to obsess. As for medication, it really is the only thing that can help, depression stems from a chemical imbalance in the brain, and nothing short of fixing that chemical imbalance actually fixes teh depression, and nothing short of some sort of medication can fix that imbalance.
