your best choice would be to get rid of that linksys garbage all together, tried to tell my dad this after he went thru 3 routers, lat time got a ntegear and all has been fine for a year

x2, I replaced 4 linksys routers by warranty within 2 years, got me a netgear, and 3 years running, no problems

netgear > linksys

had my linksys for over 3 yrs droped it probably 4x and never had a problem.

My Linksys WRT54G lasted me forever (had it for nearly 5 years), but it started flaking out earlier this year. Swapped it out for an Apple Airport Extreme, which was a complete pile of shit, returned that, and got a D-Link DIR-655, which fvcking rocks.

I have a Linksys from 2003 going strong still. Maybe one port has gone out, not even sure.

My current is trucking feeding 3 PC's, Wii, DS, PS3, 360, and sharing files and printers. huh.
