yea installs help alot. you could have a single 10" properly installed that hits harder and sounds better than 4. i know for a fact.. my wife put in 2 JLW3 12's in her blazer, the day she went to pick it up (installed by sound advice in sarasota, fla) there was another guy there who had 4 12" JLw3's, and our 2 blew them away in every way possible. he asked them for a refund because our 2 12's were louder than his 4 12's.
