Confined to Reality......
Hi everyone,

I was just at Wall Mart buying supplies for a project I am going to start this weekend and I seen a decibel Meeter on clearance for $19.00, and wanted to know how accurate these are? I tried to go to wall mart's site to link the product but I couldn't find it, it looked like a walkie talkie if this helps. I know its at wall mart so its no term lab, but has anyone owned a hand held Decibel meeter? How accurate are they? Would it at lease be accurate enough use for benchmarking?

Thanks in advanced!

He is serious...me and him were there at the time.
Its not a pressure sensor. IT IS USELESS.
Ok thanks,

lol how did people react when he yelled into it? hah //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

if u actually want a decent measure of ur dB's so u can play with ur setup and see any kind of gain. get an audiocontrol epic 160. probly around 100-150 bucks. even though they arent termlabs and arent in any sactioned comp circuits anymore (not to my knowledge), itll still give u to the decible reading, ur voltage, and a few other small tuning capabilities. good investment if u ak me....
