OK...both of us drive a Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo...his is a 98 and mine is an 01...he has 4 JL Audio W7 12's Powered by 2 JL Audio 1000/1 amplifiers...stock rear speakers and some older Alpine Front Door Speakers and tweeters powered by a 400watt 4 Channel Amp...with an older Alpine Head Unit...stock alternator...4 gauge running everything...no Big 3...but an Optima Redtop starting Battery...Optima Yellowtop in the back...in a Ported Box but he does not know the tuning of the box. It's pretty loud, I can't lie, but here is the debate we have:
He has 4 12's but he is only giving them 500 watts a piece I am giving each sub 1000 give or take maybe a little more maybe a little less...but I only have 2 12's...my electrical system is ALOT stronger but I don't have an extra battery...does mine have the potential to be louder even though he has 4 12's and I only have 2? I say yes because my power too 2 12's is about the same as his to 4 12's. He says there is absolutely no way because he has FOUR 12's and thats the bottom line regardless of the power....it's a silly debate...but we just need clarification...because I think I could be just as loud or potentially louder. My entire set up is in my sig for people to make their analysis
