What motherboard and what video card?

If the motherboard is not very recent it probably needs an AGP card... if it's really new then probably PCI Express.

Do you have any of the specs for your PC? Maybe find out if you have an AGP or PCI slot? If you give us the model number of your computer we can probably help or better yet take cover off and take a picture of the motherboard close.

If you're asking that question... I wouldn't recommend you adding a new video card. Let someone else with experience do it. It depends on your motherboard. Their should be a website that scans your hardware and give you information about your motherboard and all the slots.

i added one to my old comp, i just weanna make sure i get one that is compatable.............

Pretty much any AGP card should be compatible.

okay awesome thx guys..n e seggestions? i want it to have a TV out and be able ot run games like GTA san andreas.............doesn't need pin point graphics but just enough to run it

I would check first I have a HP Celeron 2.7 which you would think was AGP but it actually only has a PCI slot. Many of the cheaper (Ready $499 for computer/monitor and the whole works) computer packages came with very barebones motherboards with crappy onboard everything so I would check first

i dont think this is a cheap one, my dad just bought a new computer (costco was having a sale for Vista systems) and when he buys computers he gets good ones, the one he jsut bought was about 2200, so i think this one has good stuff in it
