I was going to buy some second skin, but after looking I realized I don't know what type to buy. For all those who have used the various products, when is it advantageous to use the liquid over the mat type and visca-versa? How much would it take to deaden my doors, I need a little bit more than most people as I will be 8's soon.

i just used 130ft^2 in my trunk and did a solid 2 1-2 layers all over. im going to use the liquid for rattling panels and the doors. maybe another 50ft^2 for misc spots.

liquid is best for places that arent really flat and eaisily accessable.

The liquid can get a bit messy but its really easy to apply.

Its good for nooks and crannies that you can get the mat into.

Mat is hard on your body but its thicker so you dont have to keep adding more like the liquid.

IMO... liquid>mat

Just because its so easy to apply

On the subject of deadning, I was thinking about that today. Would it be extreme over kill and unnessasary to do the following.

First step: a coat of rubberized undercoating to the entire interior of the vehicle.

Second: deadning mat of whatever brand

Third: a coating of sludge or simular.

Also, is there any advantages to do the inside of the hood?

Over kill is good in the car audio industry //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I dont think doing the underside of the hood is worth doing.

It probably reduces under hood tempratures or something
