[QUOTE="Bchurch, post: 8054388, member: 650920"] Hey everyone I've ran into a problem and i don't know how to resolve it so i came to the internet for answers, hopefully someone can help me.To make a long story short a couple weeks ago i blew my amp(mtx thunder elite 1500 watts) so i took it to a professional to have it fixed which he did and he tested it for 6 hours and it worked flawlessly, i got it back yesterday and hooked all the wires and everything back up to it in correct order and in the correct terminals, As soon as i turned the ignition on i heard the subs crackle and then the amp started rollin out the smoke so after i cut the power to it i took it apart and its fried. It seems like i have a dead short somewhere and im not to sure how to tell where it would be coming from at first i thought it might be a bad sub so i unscrewed both them out of the box and tested the impedance with a multimeter and they both read 1.7 ohms(there wired in parallel) does anyone have any suggestions on what else to check, im going to buy a new amp but don't want it to blow as soon as i turn the ignition on like the other one.
