DD9918 or FI BTL 18"

i think the Fi may sound better daily and do better at lower frequencies, the dd shoudl get off above 50 hz tho
Danm, see I didn't know that. I had a re xxx that absolutely murdered the lows, and that's one of the reasons that I wanted to get back to an 18" sub.

I guess that's the difference between a daily driver-type sub, and an all-out spl beast, huh?

I'm gonna fcuk with the DD anyway, just because the last two sub purchases (treo ssx's, and the re xxx), I've wanted a DD, and I always seem to get something else at the last minute (usually because I run across a good deal).

This time, I think I found a pretty good deal with this 9918, so thanks to the responses here, I'm just gonna go for it (finally). $450 per recone though, lol! Fcuk, Siht, Danm, Bicth!!!!

it's new or not?
Oh no. It's not new (didn't think they made 'em anymore), but yeah, I said "ordered" so I wouldn't have to say that I "sent the money via paypal to the other forum member that has the used subwoofer for sale, as I wait for him to send me back the sub". //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

cost and service being my deciding factor
You ever had a DD?
I say the 9918, with a kevlar cone you just gotta love it. As far as the sound of them, I know there are a few people that had 9500's and liked them alot then switched to the 99's and never looked back. You gotta have power for it tho.
