DD9512g VS. Re XXX 12

it can sound ok...but if you put a SQ sub in a "nice" enclosure it will be like a night and day comparison between the 2
if you want a true SQ setup, then go for it. but for an everyday setup, a true SQ setup and install will be pointless. if you dont think a 9500 can sound **** good, then you should really do some more homework.

for a DD 9500, the enclosure can be the difference between a SQL setup, SPL setup, or a pure mexican food style fart.
I guess my ear is more discriminating than yours.
I typed out a reply that explained further, but then I realized there's no way Im getting into an argument over ethereal "SQ" with someone on DD 9500's. If you want to think they sound great in the right box, you are entitled to your opinion. Hell 9500's own in the SPL lanes, and one quick box swap later they do SQ too. Its amazing DD hasn't stopped making all other subwoofers altogether.

I sense some sarcasm

Now you guys are arguing pointless. Best way to tell is

a. Primary music he's listening to

b. Whats he going to be happier with off 1200w, at least for now?

My experience with both, I would take the 9512, it doesnt look as beefy, but it's lighter, louder, more flexible(debateble) and still sounds decent, good enough for any non SQ install.

really?

with 1200 watts, i think a 3512 would be better. even a 2512. i run a pair of 2510's with conservatively 2200 watts. the 3512 was ran with about 1100-1200 and it was **** loud too. both setups sound great. i like the upper bass i get with the more cone area of the two 10"s though.

I get compliments from people all the time on how clean sounding my 9515 is.

It is in no way as good as a sq woofer but to say the 9500 series caN't sound rather well. Then you need to change boxes.

My vote is 3 1508s //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Btw did a 149.2 today and got first in the 3x show in Arkansas //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Im starting to lean more towards the DD. I only plan on running it with 1200watts for a little while and then getting something bigger. I listen to only hiphop and like my bass deep and loud.
