Looking for some real opinions. I'm in love with DD, thinking about swapping out my 2 12s for a single Z. I can get it built to ground pound, 5 cubes tuned at 32. Pros and cons? Gain, lose, have a Z, whatever. Everything else will stay the same for now till I can swap to a DD amp.

Those Z's are beasts for sure but so are the subs you have... but I don't know that you'd see a gain anywhere coming from 2 12" 9500 series to one 15" Z unless you fed the Z a ton more power.

Doubt you'd see an increase in ouput, would probably lose output.

Best with no testing was a 149.4 playing put on on the 37hz note. 48.8 on the 27hz note

Best case scenario you put ALOT more power on the Z than on the 9500's and it is higher on a meter, it still won't be louder over a large bandwidth. Even then, I have a feeling the 2 coils still might handle power better than a single.
