DC 1.2K vs CT 1400

I currently have a DC 1.2K and it's pushing my 2 sa-10's pretty well. I found a ct sounds 1400 at an amazing price so i'm tempted to pick it up. I'm just curious if i'd actually see any gain in changing my 1.2K for the ct1400.

I've liked the 1.2K and i've heard great things about the ct1400 so i'm kinda torn. Would there be any audible gain from switching amps? If not audible gain, would there be any gain? I have an o-scope to set gains and I know that these sa-10's will take some power so I don't think i'll have any issue.

I wouldn't. Dc is Korean ct is Chinese. And you won't see or a difference in power drop the dc to .5 then tell me what you think
With my electrical right now, 1ohm is the lowest i'm looking to go. I couldn't go to .5 with the subs I have now anyways. With the ct pushing ~600 watts more than the dc (14.4v/ amp test tuesday done on both amps), there wouldn't be any audible gain?

Whats the price?
$190 for the ct

So Korean build houses have access to designs and parts that aren't available in China?

That's a great price on the 1400 man. I'd snatch it up and try it. Worse thing that can happen is you'll wind up selling it for more than you paid... unless it's beat all to h3ll.

I bet that ct will run on 16v and i bet that dc won't i bet that ct will do good numbers on half ohm too
I won't ever be at 16v and the current subs aren't able to go to .5 ohm.

He's a dealer so he's not going to talk down on a brand that he sells and I can understand that. I think i'm gonna give it a try because I like how it looks and the price. The amp is only 3 months old and looks brand new. Poor guy is in need of some money so I don't mind picking this up. Are you the guy that is running 2 of these at .5ohm strapped?

I was running two of them strapped but the truck was stolen. I got the truck back sans audio but will be rebuilding it soon... and I'll probably be running two 3Ks strapped at a half this time.

That *****. Glad you got the truck back though.

If you don't mind me asking, where there any downsides to the 1400's?

None that I could find. I actually considered going back with them but I want to use the Exos in the next iteration of the truck and the 1400s just aren't enough power for them.
