Where can I get a FREE db test done on my truck? I don't know of any places that do this.

I'm pretty sure mics are fairly expensive, in excess of $600 or so.

oh christ than i guess i won't be getting one. i don't even know what the hell a mic looks like. i'm not really into this db shit but i was just curious as too how many i could hit. i thought there were little handheld things that could measure spl?

so shops around here have a "free test and tune" the day b4 a competition. not sure if u actually have to register or not...but yeah, they say it's free. check it out when comps come ur way. peace

you can get a little rat-shack hand held meter for cheap. but they will usually only go up to 120-130 Db and they are not accurate or reliable at all.
