my buddy had a db drive speed a500 amp in his truck and he said it went out a few months ago so he just unhooked it. we were cleaning his truck this weekend and he decided to take it out since it's not being used and it is just one more thing for someone to spot and want to steal....a thief wouldn't know that it doesn't work. anyway, he was going to throw it in the trash and asked if i wanted it. i said sure i'd look into whether it would be worth looking into getting repaired. i haven't hooked it up myself to test it (not sure what he guaged as being broken), but will probably test it out later today just to double check something else in his truck wasn't messed up. i don't know anything about db drive, other than his subs slammed with it when it was working. if i have no luck with it, is this something that would be worth sending off or taking to a local shop to be fixed? i don't really have any use for it right now, but if it could be repaired for a small price, it would probably be worth hanging onto. here are the specs i could find on it (it's not listed on their site anymore): Key Features Amplifier Type Mono Channel Bridgable Not Bridgable RMS Power at 4 Ohms 350 W x 1 RMS Power at 2 Ohms 500 W x 1 Performance Frequency Response 20 Hz - 22000 Hz Signal to Noise Ratio 90 dB THD at Rated RMS Power 0.03 % Crossover / Equalizer Bass Boost With Bass Boost Bass Boost Frequency 45 Hz Low - Pass Frequency 40 Hz - 130 Hz High - Pass Frequency 40 Hz - 130 Hz Other Features Input Voltage 10.5 volt MOSFET Circuitry Yes 3 Way Ready No Dimensions Width 11.63 in.
