Dash Makeover Worklog --POLL-- Which Paint Color?

Allright, some of you may have seen my worklog, located here. I need some opinions on which type of paint I should use. I'm debating on using either black or I also bought some metallic paint that I could use over the black. Here's a picture of a test I did on a scrap piece of wood. The metallic is on the left and the black is on the right. Both have one coat of clear on top.

Please, guys, don't just vote. Tell me why you chose which type you chose!

hard to tell on that surface... i need something smoother.

just guessing though: a plain ol matte black is probably what would look best.

Id just go with black, it would blend in better with your dash.
