i just got my D612 in the mail (dual 4 ohm), got it hooke up and everything (box is 1.3 sealed under my rear seat (97 ex. cab chevy)) and it's not very loud at all:crap: i have to turn the volume up to like 40/?? on my pio-4600mp to get any kind of loudness at all and by that time it sounds like its bottoming out or something.....im still not sure how well my settings are on my amp/deck but i tried fooling with it today and made little progress....the amp is an orion 1200D @ 2ohms (725rms) so it should be bumpin pretty good you would think.....Honestly my old punch z12's off a rf 400rms amp seems to be hitting harder than this for some reason.......Can someone explain all the settings on my deck/amp???IMO the problems could be:
1. amp/deck settings are WAY off
2. wires on sub are right for sure, but im not sure if they're hooked up to the amp right (there's 2- and 2+ terminals on the amp) How do i bridge them?just pick 2 and hook em up?
3. box is too big maybe???rec. sealed is .875 IIRC
4. sub is behind drivers seat facing forward, maybe just a lack of cabin gain?I can't fit it in a downfire pos, so thats out of the question.
