one of my friends has a 15 CVX's in a prefab box, and one of my other idiot friends tryed to set his amp (Hifonics Brutus 1600) and starting off the speaker sounded alright, but two days later he starts smelling something and the sub doesnt hit hardly at all....i believe the amp's subsonic filter was set to high (my friend said he turned it almost all the way up) and it finally messed up the sub..or the amp's gains were turned up to high and overpowered the sub
