CVR Rattle

Hey guys,

I have a single 10" kicker cvr 4 ohm in my truck powered by a alpine m450 amp. the sub is getting 400 watts at 2 ohms. Sometimes, depending on the song, like rap songs that hit hard, there is a little rattle, almost like a metal ball in a can. Its really annoying. Did I blow the sub? I had it for like 1 week only. lol. It was brand new.

Id imagine its the sub bottoming out (the voice coil smacking the back plate due to over excurson).

Whats your gain set at?

Do you think that my frame bent in because in order to get my sub in the box, I had to go screw by screw and press it in because the hole was a little to small. But the sub worked fine for a few days with no rattles, so I dont see how it would just bend randomly.

he told you what it is. Set your gains properly and it should be all good.
