CVA-1006 and XM

Customer comes in to get a CVA-1006 installed with a TUA-T020XM Unit...i cant get the 2 to sync up no matter what i try with the AI-net cable and resetting the unit its not linking up i am just beginning to think that the CVA-1006 does not support xm....there is nothing in the manual and i cant find anything online about it being XM ready...anyone got any ideas?? or am i right about it being not xm ready.
