When Slick Willie was in office I was part of a joint task force (USMC, Navy, Coast Guard and DEA) that did the very thing Trump is threatening with no Congressional approval and no whimpering & whining from the left. No Congress critters were advising us that we didn't have to follow illegal orders.

Bush Sr invaded Panama without Congressional approval.

Obama provided military intervention (mainly air support) to the NTC rebels who overthrew & killed Gaddafi. Again no Congressional approval.

Congress never authorized war with Vietnam.

Congress never authorized war with Korea.

The more things change, the more they stay the same. Maybe we've been a fascist dictatorship ruled by a king for decades and didn't even know.
