Paid and pardoned insurrectionists...

“The total cost of the insurrection to the taxpayers is estimated to be $2.7 billion, and that does not account for the lives lost due to the violence that day. Thanks to President Trump’s reckless pardons, convicted rioters can not only walk freely, but they also are no longer required to pay their court-ordered restitutions, much of which was owed directly to your office.”

Restitution was “one of the most common sentences handed down” to January 6th insurrectionists, but offenders were slow to repay their obligations, and taxpayers were “far from being made whole.” A June 2024 CBS News investigation found that only a small fraction—$437,000, which is just 15%—of the nearly $3 million owed in restitution by Jan. 6 offenders for the damage they inflicted on the Capitol had been repaid in the years since the attack.

The official numbers from the Architect of the Capitol remain unknown and must be released.

The Government Accountability Office estimated that the true cost to taxpayers was $2.7 billion, a figure that included property damage, expenses incurred by the Capitol Police, the District of Columbia, and federal agencies, and costs to improve security.

Interesting, but that isn't being paid. It seems protesters are rarely or barely held responsible for their actions.

It is odd that the left has created a "protester" industry. It us even odder that the main role of these professionals serns to be ensuring the "regular" protesters don't interact with "non-belivers." Vey cult like.

If you're being forgiven a debt, then you are in effect being paid by the person forgiving your debt.
If the bank forgives my mortgages, then they are effectively increasing my income my a nice chunk of change. That's a "paycheck" to me.
Being forgiven of a crime and let out of prison before time is served is like a "paycheck". You are getting paid with freedom.

You think "the left" created the protester industry?

I'm sure he only said this to make Republicans look bad:

NewsNation spoke with Adam Swart, the CEO of Crowds on Demand, about his company that provides services “for impactful advocacy campaigns, demonstrations, PR stunts, crowds for hire and corporate events,” according to its website.
He said his company receives requests for both conservative and liberal causes.

“We have been clear that we work with both liberals and conservatives on causes that align with common-sense values. Democrats are hiring our company, and so are Republicans,” he said.

If no money has been exchanged then nobody has been paid.

Interest is a made up thing to make money. If they "forgive" your mortgages then they have just agreed to accept less money from you. You are not being paid, you ARE paying less.

They can't pay you with something that is already yours. Freedom is not a commodity. We are not slaves Rob.

Yes.
