If things keep moving in the shitty direction they have been, I think there might be.

I don't think they're even pandering to an anticipated audience. They don't have an audience anymore. I think they've just become part of the mass of liberal whack jobs that suffer from Collective Narcissism and all they know is run cover for Team Blue and blame Trump & Team Red for anything that goes wrong. Libs on Tiktok celebrating Charlie Kirk's death before the body is cold tell us all we need to know. I knew the left was beyond redemption, but this a new low.
