Technically, it was not closed. Closed, as in, nobody is allowed to enter freely like Biden allowed them to. I know it's hard for your simple TDS mind to understand. You can install a fence and/or a door to your yard, but it will not prevent anyone from actually getting in. If they do, you will be sure they are treated as a criminal and have them removed. Same thing with the border. It is now illegal to cross the border unless you are a authorized.

your chart is based off of inflation. Not actual dollar amount. The actual dollar amount has gone down on food and fuel costs. For example, milk is $0.40 cheaper today than last year. Eggs are over $2 per dozen cheaper and gas is $0.10 cheaper.
