Rights being given and being denied are one in the same - again see Roe v Wade. Who gave women the right to murder fetuses in the name of privacy - the gov't. Who took away this right - the gov't.
"murder a *****". Interesting convolution of ideas there.
Religion is a little more complicated because parents could be involved in that in a nation with religious freedom.
You think parents bestow the right of whether you believe in a god or a religion, or not?
Without your parents bestowing this right on you, you would not be able to believe in what you choose to believe?
Sounds like mind control.
Even then as an extreme example, you don't have the right to be part of a Murderous Death Cult in the US - at least not if you're murdering/sacrificing people. That is unless that Murderous Death Cult is Pro-Choice Feminism - in that case kill away ladies, kill away.
You have the right to be in that cult, but that doesn't absolve you of the possibility you will be punished if laws are broken.
You have the right to shout "fire" in a crowded movie theater, but that doesn't absolve you of possible punishment for disturbing the peace, causing a panic stampede, etc.
You have the right to self-sustenance.
Human rights are innate, not granted or bestowed upon us.
That's a very basic concept that has been understood for centuries, with known references dating 17 centuries B.C.
But if you want to be like Thxone, and argue that the concept is false and has been misunderstood by everyone (scholar and layman alike) for at least 2,700 years, who am I to stop you?
Go ahead and explain how the concept is false, and why.
