Curious as to why

I notice that most people are/have xxx15's. i rarely see the xxx12, why is that?

just curious as to why. i'd like to eventually get a 12 but no one usually is selling them either when i have money or just that i dont see them. i asked re about purchasing one and the price they gave me was and will forever be outta my range.

the price i got quoted on for a new xxx was outta my range. so i was looking for a used one, so this was basically why i'm curious.

15's have a greater SPL value than a 12". No reason to skimp if you are gonna pimp.

That is sooo true, but the and most might LOL at this but the 3inches helps me cause of room availablity (sp)

The RE XXX made the sacrifice of efficiency for it's low box sizes and low end extension. The result is a 15" sub that can be ported in a box usually small enough for a 12. It makes perfect sense to pick a 15 because almost any vehicle has enough space to port one and the added efficiency of a 15 is icing on the cake.
