Today I went to pick up my kids from school (first time this year).. The way it works is you have a line that you drive through. You are supposed to have a sign with a number on it, they see the number and call it out to the kids waiting just inside.

I didn't have a sign and I could not remember the number, but I remembered it was in the 40's. Anyway, I tell them my kids' names and start guessing.

As they finally agree to send my kids out, my youngest figures out what is going on and starts saying, "We don't know him! We don't know him!" Then she gets behind the teacher's legs and starts pointing at me and says, "Stranger! Stranger!"

About that time her assistant teacher from last year came out and called her on it. I have no idea whether she recognized me or just knew she was full of shit.

She pretty much pulls a scam of some sort at least once a week. Last week she claimed her arm was hurt so bad she could not write. The first day of that episode her teacher wrote notes for her. The next day it was the assistant principal, who was in the class evaluating her, ended up doing her writing for her.
