Today I went to pick up my kids from school (first time this year).. The way it works is you have a line that you drive through. You are supposed to have a sign with a number on it, they see the number and call it out to the kids waiting just inside.

I didn't have a sign and I could not remember the number, but I remembered it was in the 40's. Anyway, I tell them my kids' names and start guessing.

As they finally agree to send my kids out, my youngest figures out what is going on and starts saying, "We don't know him! We don't know him!" Then she gets behind the teacher's legs and starts pointing at me and says, "Stranger! Stranger!"

When my mother and i were in the checkout line at the grocery store and she was writing out a check i would wince when she would sign her name and cast the pen off the paper.

Or i would ask for something then finish off with "but please dont hit me". Shit like that.

My parents are too self-conscious for stuff like that. When I gave my sister a black eye they kept worrying people would thing they beat her.
