If I have a 3 hour long film on my computer, and I want to take a 5 minute chunk out of it, how would I do that?

Use a video editor to cut out and save the segment you want. I currently use VideoRedo since it handles MCE files as well as the normal media files.

Yes it should have some video editing utility in it. I don't use it, so I couldn't tell youy sterp by step how to do it.

Then just make sure when you save your segment, you dont save it with the same name and in same folder opf original //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Well videoredo is pretty easy and I can help you with that. I will not however help you obtain it. If you obtain it on your own then I will help with it. Another alternative is for you to host this whole video somewhere for me to DL and I can cut the part you want and compress it for online vieiwing.

But how do you turn it inot an avatar?

There are other programs that can hack it further and drop it to a small gif file. I don't think this site allows animated gifs as avatars though unless you are a mod //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif Most animated gifs worth their weight have file sizes larger than the limit allowed.

Most will be. In order to make it easily viewed in all circumstances, the resolution has to be brought way down and the tightly compressed. Which makes a crappy quality.

This is a file I downloaded like a year ago. The quality is good but it's small and I just want to edit out a certain piece. I'm in the Nero vision and have the video up, but I still haven't figured out how to edit it yet.

Ok I edited it, but how do I save it as something I can upload? It'll only let me save it as a NVS file
