Iam, what kind of pet fountain do you have? I just turned mine off to clean it and it won't turn back on. There is no reason for the motor to be burned out as it didn't run dry. This shit...sucks. I am going to give about 5 minutes to be sure it doesn't have a thermal reset or something.

Been running 2 years strong now. I wouldn't think a pump that small had a themral reset. In any event I take mine apart all the time without problems. Good luck.
