I told the woman Sunday night we were going up north so she could go snowboarding with her friends. Well we leave the apartment and get on 94 instead of 75 and she asks where the hell we are going. I told her Chicago and she asks why the hell are we going there? I told her I hear Chicago is nice this time of year. Well she's pissed and makes for a silent 5 hour drive. We just drove around downtown checking things out. Stayed the night in Lansing because it reminded us of home. Not sure if it was Illinois or Indiana but it was on the border.

lansing is a nice little place. Stayed a night there last summer. IIRC it's indiana

Refers to the practice of letting employees leave work an hour early. The term derives from the military, where supervisors are often not permitted to let their personnel leave early, but ARE permitted to grant their staff breaks, as long as they are less than 1 hour. On special occasions, a supervisor can work around the prohibition on early excusal by giving the staff a 59-minute break at the very end of the day; thus allowing them to leave about an hour early. The "59-Minute Rule" is often put into effect on the Friday before a three-day weekend.

It's not mandatory, not everyone gets it, we didn't ask for it, and if they didn't give it to us, we wouldn't get upset.
