Hah, a news crew was at my house yesterday interviewing my kids for being generally FTW. My neighbors acted shicked to see me when I cam home last night. They said they asssumed that my wife had finally killed me.

It's the first time I nearly cussed a customer service person on the phone. I mean how stupid are people in India?

TV is discretionary

In the event that I am in financial distress, discretionary items are the first to go.

A contract prevents me from discontinuing service.

Yet, that stupid guy couldn't get such simple cash management through his skull.

It's **** near rapage.

$41 + tax for

2 DVRs (which I care nothing about having a DVR, I barely have enough time to watch TV now)

about 25 HD channels.

5 local channels in HD.

I can save 7 dollars by only getting one receiver, because I only have 1 TV. However, if I wait until I actually need the second reciever to upgrade, they charge me $299 to "upgrade".

Thats pretty crazy. I never had a problem canceling comcast when I moved either. Just keep looking, youll find something.
