That's true. There are no mini blinds in the house.
I will just go with some regular kind. I don't have the money for the 2" plantation blinds. The cheaper ones **** *** because they are made of paper, which yellow over time.

The other style is very nice and long lasting....just incredibly expensive.

Let me see if I can find our blinds online. They are PVC that have a plantation blind look with much less cost than actual wood plantation. Better than standard builder grade blinds.

Levolor makes them. They are still rather expensive....Roughly $30-40/each.
The blinds I was considering are about $16/ea

To me expensive is 100+

30-40 is well worth the investment of a non-fading blind. The PVC block more light too. The thin cheap ones let a lot of light in, even when fully closed. You don't plan on staying, so The yellowing may not be an issue for you. If they are yellow when you go to sell though it is a bargaining point for the buyer.

I may consider a mix. Use the levlors in the rooms where it is most important...the mini blinds in the rooms I never go in.
If I were staying there 5 - 10 years, then $100 isn't that big of a deal.

The current plan is to leave in 3 years. I plan to get my MBA through work and they say they want me to have more experience. The original plan was to maintain two residences during the interim. The current plan is to move at the end of the 3rd year. There is so much uncertainty after year 3, I cannot begin to formulate a plan....I am just going to play it by ear.

There ya go. That's a good plan. Good ones in important rooms. I' vote Kitchen and master bedroom. Kitchen just because it is the best room valuewise to place any type of upgrade.
