Yes it is a special ops game. It's not your standard run and gun fragfest. It is strategy oriented. You put together a team of ops and complete objectives. For the PC there is many different R6 games and good mods for online play. I have never played a console version since I don't own a current gen console. I prefer it over fragfest games and I suspect you will too.
