Should I put Rockbox on my E270? Is it worth it?The Zune is fine and preferable to the iPod, in my opinion. Especially if you can grab them dirt cheap (got mine for ~$100 off woot).
I have a Sansa E250 as well, and used to have a few different iPods. The iPods were my least favourite of the bunch, although the RockBox mod makes them better.
Rockbox means you can use FLAC...that alone, makes it worthwhile. It has a lot of very useful features...read here if interested.Should I put Rockbox on my E270? Is it worth it?
Also, I just picked up a pair of IEM's for it... YAY!

Well, maybe I should have gotten the iM616's which are supposedly the same w/o the volume control?Pretty much everything from Etymotic and their buildhouse is exceptional. I haven't heard the AL iM716's so I can't comment on them but their lineage suggests that the drivers are at least of good quality. My only concerns are the in-line volume control and I don't believe the cords are equidistant y's...which is really annoying for me. Sonically, I've heard nothing but good things about them.
One IEM to never buy: Sennheiser CX300's. Worst money I have ever spent on any headphone-related product...and I've wasted a lot of money there.
Man, I didn't have a beer either...I didn't have a single beer today. First St. Patrick's Day like that since I was 14.

Eh, well currently I do not use FLAC at all.
Also, not so sure I'd use it on my 6gig player... hehe
I think I'm going to install it tomorrow though, I read up on it when I bought my player from woot a while back...
